Released WWE Star Not Allowed To Appear In AEW

Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day:

– Former NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze was under contract with WWE from 2010 to 2021 (2010-2012 in FCW, 2012-2015 in NXT, 2015-2018 on the main roster and 2019-2021 back in NXT).

His last match took place on the June 16th 2021 episode of NXT, where he & Fandango defeated Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci).

Breeze was then released from the company due to COVID-19 related budget cuts.

Despite his release, Tyler still appears on Xavier Woods’ WWE sponsored UpUpDownDown gaming channel and also on WWE’s The Bump talk show.

According to Fightful Select, Breeze is under an UpUpDownDown-related WWE contract and isn’t allowed to appear in AEW despite not wrestling in WWE anymore.

Tyler will now return to the ring after 2 years. He’s scheduled to wrestle at Prestige Wrestling’s Roseland 6 show on September 1st in Portland, Oregon.

He’s being promoted by the ring name of “BREEZE”.

– Austin Theory has held the United States Championship for 222 days now. This is the longest US Title reign of the last 10 years.

– According to the Wrestling Observer, Baron Corbin will now be a part of NXT full-time. He recently brought back the “Lone Wolf” character and lost to NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes.
