Rematch Set For Next Week’s RAW With Universal Title Match Implications, Updated Match-Card For SummerSlam 2018

Brock Lesnar Bobby Lashley RAW 2018

As we noted earlier, Paul Heyman came out in the opening segment of tonight’s RAW and agreed to Kurt Angle’s demands and announced that his client Brock Lesnar will defend the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018.

Heyman then asked Angle who Lesnar’s opponent will be this led to the following men coming out to challenge Brock Lesnar:

– Bobby Lashley

– Drew McIntyre

– Seth Rollins

– Elias

– Finn Balor

– Roman Reigns (Roman said he doesn’t care about Brock, but he wants to fight someone tonight)

This led to Angle announcing two Triple Threat matches for tonight:

– Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor

– Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins vs. Elias

The winner of these two matches will face each other in a match on next week’s RAW and the winner of that match will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2018.

Reigns won the first triple threat match after pinning Balor. During the ending moments of the match, McIntyre delivered a Claymore to Balor, then Reigns delivered a Superman Punch to McIntyre to send him out of the ring and then Reigns delivered a Spear to Balor to pick up the win and get one step closer to facing Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title once again.

The second Triple Threat match took place in the main event of RAW and saw Lashley win the match after delivering a Spear to Elias.

Now on next week’s episode of RAW, an Extreme Rules 2018 rematch will take place when Reigns & Lashley collide once again. The winner of this match will then go on to face “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2018.

Coming out of tonight’s RAW, below is the updated match-card for next month’s SummerSlam 2018 PPV:

Universal Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns OR Bobby Lashley

RAW Women’s Championship Match: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
