• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Veteran Mideon (Real name: Dennis Knight) celebrates his 50th birthday today.

Between 1992 and 1994, he wrestled for Ted Turner’s WCW as Tex Slazenger and frequently teamed with Shanghai Pierce, a Tag Team that was later reunited in early 1996, when both wrestled on World Wrestling Federation TV, only this time Knight was billed as Phineas I. Godwinn (short P.I.G.), while his team partner had already joined the WWF a little over a year earlier as Henry O. Godwinn.

Together they wrestled as The Godwinns, first managed by WWF Legend Hillbilly Jim, but later after their Heel Turn managed by Uncle Cletus (a repackaged T.L. Hopper).

During the Attitude Era, Dennis Knight became known as Mideon, a member of The Undertaker’s evil ‘Ministry of Darkness’ stable.

Once the faction disbanded, Mideon’s career went downhill, and after a short stint as N*ked Mideon, he was let go by the WWF in early 2001.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIDEON!

• Reporters No Longer Allowed To Ask John Cena About Nikki Bella

16 Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena was recently at the Empire State Building to promote his “Bumblebee” movie. Reporters were present there to interview Cena, but they weren’t allowed to ask Cena about one thing – break-up with Nikki Bella.

According to Page Six, reporters were told that Cena doesn’t want to answer any questions regarding Nikki Bella, so they’re barred from asking him about her.

This report is in-line with previous reports of Cena continuing to distance himself from Nikki Bella.

Speaking of Cena, he’ll return to WWE programming on next week’s New Year’s edition of SmackDown Live.

With Cena returning to WWE TV in January, this has resulted in the fans questioning Cena’s Royal Rumble 2019 PPV status.

It should be noted that Cena might not work the Royal Rumble 2019 PPV, which takes place on January 27, as he’ll begin shooting for another movie in Vancouver from January 20.

During a recent interview with ESPN, Cena revealed why he can’t wrestle in WWE while filming a movie:

“The biggest difficulty is trying to juggle stuff because I have learned, and I’m trying to fight this system but I’m losing, once you’re in production for a movie, they don’t allow you to wrestle. Because I can’t go to a WWE taping and have my nose put over here.

Not only doesn’t it look good, it’s, ‘Man, you don’t look right.’ So they shut the whole movie down, there are 150 people that are expecting a paycheck for that movie and I just screwed them out of their wage. It ups the budget of the movie, so I just put the movie behind the eight ball of possibly being a financial success.”
