Tonight’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam kicked off with a non-title match between AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan in WWE).

This was Bryan’s 1st ever match in All Elite Wrestling, and this is the biggest Dynamite in history, with over 20,000 fans in attendance at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The match ended in a 30-minute time limit draw. After the match, The Young Bucks and Adam Cole then came out to check on Omega and then attacked Bryan.

Christian Cage, Jungleboy and Luchasaurus then came out to make the save for Bryan.

On this day in 1997, the World Wrestling Federation aired another episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF RAW IS WAR’.

It was broadcasted LIVE from the world’s most famous arena, the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF In Your House 18: Badd Blood’ PPV.

After this episode of RAW was over on TV, a dark match took place, that saw Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker square off in a triple threat match.
