• During an interview with CBS Sports, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio was asked about his perfect retirement scenario.
The Master of 619 said he’d love to put his Mask on the line against his son, Dominik Mysterio. Rey has already faced Dominik and defeated him at WrestleMania 39.
If Dirty Dom isn’t an option for his final match, Rey would love to face the leader of Legado Del Fantasma, Santos Escobar.
Here’s what the former WWE Champion said:
“Obviously, the perfect scenario is that Dom would be the right person. And not necessarily to retire me but put what matters most to be on the line and that’s my mask. It’s something I’d be willing to do.
If I had to pick another opponent, I truly believe that because we tapped into our roots, Santos Escobar is someone I would most definitely like to face.”

• This Sunday at the NXT Battleground 2024 premium live event, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson will face Nathan Frazer & Axiom for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
During a recent edition of Talk’n Shop, Anderson said that he and Gallows will end their careers in WWE:
“I romantically love Japan. I have to go back to Japan. I will go back to Japan. I miss Japan, badly. I do see ourselves retiring in WWE. I see us as full brother WWE guys until the end.”
While Gallows & Anderson aren’t used much on SmackDown these days, they were a part of AJ Styles’ fake retirement segment with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes this past Friday on SmackDown.
