• Rhea Ripley Wants SmackDown Star To Get More Opportunities

During an interview with SPORTBible, Rhea Ripley was asked who she feels is the most underrated woman in WWE today. Ripley picked SmackDown wrestler Candice LeRae:

“It’s hard to pinpoint anyone specifically, but I feel like there’s a lot, especially in the women’s division. There’s so many women that I know are so amazing at what they do, and they don’t get enough TV time or the opportunities to really show everyone what they can do.

Someone that I love is Candice LeRae, and going through NXT with her and how her brain works and how she goes out there and she’s like the vet in the ring, she knows what to do and she keeps everyone calm and she’s got ideas and it’s just like I wish that someone like her would get more of an opportunity.”

• WWE Set To Apologize To Ozzy Osbourne’s Daughter

During yesterday’s RAW in Birmingham, England, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch said the following: “The only good thing that came out of here died a month ago. But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to LA, a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”

Ozzy’s daughter, Kelly Osbourne, wrote the following about Becky Lynch on her Instagram story: “You are a disrespectful dirtbag! Birmingham would not pi$$ on you if you were on fire. #birminghamforever shame on the WWE for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!!!”

On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that WWE will apologize to Kelly regarding this: “Kelly is not happy. I was told WWE is embarrassed, and they’re gonna do an apology. And there’s discussion about doing a public apology.”

Lance Storm had the following to say: “Unless you have explicit permission from the family, I think using someone’s passing for cheap heat is bad. It just makes wrestling feel low brow and cheap when they do stuff like that, and I wish they wouldn’t.”

• WWE Nixed 2 Big Opponents For John Cena

John Cena’s retirement tour is nearing its end, with only 10 dates remaining. It’s safe to say that Cena has 5 more matches left in his career:

Clash In Paris – against Logan Paul

Wrestlepalooza – rumored to be against Brock Lesnar

Crown Jewel: Perth – TBA

Survivor Series – TBA

Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 – Final Match

According to Billi Bhatti, WWE originally had plans to book John Cena vs. AJ Styles, but that is no longer happening. WWE also had plans for Cena to take on Kevin Owens, but Owens got injured.

During an interview earlier this year, Owens stated his desire to face Cena during the retirement tour, specifically to mark the 10-year anniversary of their initial feud.

During his promo this past Friday on SmackDown, Cena acknowledged that fans wanted to see him face AJ Styles one last time.

• Gunther Might Have Heat For Going Off-Script At SummerSlam 2025

Gunther’s performance at SummerSlam 2025 didn’t play out exactly as planned – and that creative deviation may be causing some backstage friction. When Gunther faced CM Punk in their World Heavyweight Championship bout, he ended up bleeding – something that reportedly didn’t align with the storyline plan. According to Billi Bhatti, the real concern was where he bled.

WWE had originally pitched a more subtle angle – Gunther was supposed to blade his nose to tie into a documented sinus surgery storyline. Instead, when the moment came, he switched to a conventional head-cut, which threw off commentary and backstage expectations, as that wasn’t the plan.

Some in WWE weren’t happy. The deviation caught the people backstage off guard, and there’s talk of a little heat on Gunther for taking the blunt route. The intended nose-blading tie-in would have synced with Gunther’s actual medical situation: he was headed for sinus surgery, which made the storyline touchpoint feel well-integrated.

This blend of real-life procedures and scripted drama was set to play out on the forthcoming season of WWE Unreal on Netflix.
