Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, featuring Ric Flair and Steve Austin.
• Ric Flair Reveals Why Tony Khan Doesn’t Use Him In AEW Anymore
Ric Flair has been noticeably absent from AEW programming for more than a year. Now, ‘The Nature Boy’ has offered an explanation for his disappearance from television.
Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Flair revealed that medical concerns were the main reason behind his limited involvement, particularly during Sting’s retirement match.
“The reason I’m not on TV now is Tony Khan didn’t know I was on blood thinners…That’s why,” Ric explained. The 16-time World Champion shared that he had even prepared to engage in the kind of dramatic physical storytelling he’s known for. “At Sting’s last match, I had already made a blade. I was ready to go. He said no… I made blades for all the guys in the old days.”
Flair also reflected on his long-standing tradition of blading, something he has never shied away from. “If I couldn’t cut myself, we weren’t gonna make it through the match,” he said with a laugh. “You try wrestling Rufus R. Jones for an hour… that’s a long hour-Broadway.”
As of now, there is no word on when, or if, Flair will return to AEW television.

• Steve Austin Reveals Why He Turned Down Logan Paul’s $1 Million Offer
Logan Paul revealed that he offered Stone Cold Steve Austin $1 million to wear a PRIME bottle costume at WrestleMania 41, but Austin immediately turned down the offer.
Here’s what Logan said on his podcast:
“We offered Steve a million dollars to be in the PRIME bottle. He didn’t do it. Oh, he’s not the guy. I don’t care what number it is – he’s not getting in that bottle.
I don’t think he even considered it for a second. The WWE Universe would kill him. Imagine it – he face-revealed the Prime bottle.”
During an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Austin was asked about this offer and here’s what The Texas Rattlesnake said:
“If he said that, I’m not going to call him a liar. I just thought it was personal business, but since it’s out there — yeah, I turned it down. I’m in the beer business. I don’t know anything about his product, its ingredients, whether it’s good or bad. It just wasn’t my thing.
It’s not my gimmick. He’s doing great, he’s hustling, and I respect that. But it just wasn’t the right fit for Steve Austin.”
The PRIME bottle mascot costume gimmick was done by KSI at WrestleMania 39 and by IShowSpeed at WrestleMania 40.
Steve Austin appeared on both nights on WrestleMania 41. On Night 1, he appeared on the stage as part of the 2025 Hall of Fame class. On Night 2, he came to the ring on his ATV to announce the attendance.
Logan Paul defeated AJ Styles on Night 2.
