Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring Ric Flair and Samantha Irvin.
• Ric Flair’s stepson, Sebastian Kidder, a rising musician, has sadly passed away at age 24 after taking his own life, as confirmed by his mother, Wendy Barlow, to TMZ Sports. The family is deeply heartbroken.
Kidder died from a gunshot wound on Saturday afternoon at the family’s home in Georgia, and the police are currently investigating the incident.
“I am devastated and shocked. This is an epidemic with our young men. And mental health…” Barlow shared.
Details surrounding Sebastian’s death remain unclear.
In recent months, Kidder’s music career had been gaining momentum. Earlier this summer, he appeared on FOX’s Good Day Atlanta, where he performed a song and discussed the upcoming release of his first album.
Flair, who married Wendy in 2018 after dating for several years, has not yet commented on this tragic loss. Flair had been a part of Sebastian’s life for nearly 15 years, dating back to when he and Wendy were together before their marriage.
• Former WWE Ring Announcer Samantha Irvin has revealed that she didn’t like announcing in WWE and actually wanted to manage wrestlers or be the General Manager of one of the brands.
You can read some exchanges she had with fans on social media:
Fan 1: “Your untalented husband did this, huh?”
Samantha: “My husband is a millionaire so yes, I don’t have to do a job I don’t like anymore.”
Fan 2: “I can’t prove it but I know Ricochet is behind this because he couldn’t stay in the big league.”
Samantha: “I don’t like announcing. I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become General Manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action, but I don’t love being an announcer.
They wanted Rico to stay in the big leagues. I don’t know why everyone is pretending like he was always in great positions at WWE.”
Samantha also thanked the fans for supporting her in WWE:
“Thank you so much, I love WWE and I’m so proud and honored I got to share all the moments with fellow fans. Much love!”
