It was recently reported that there was heat between The Rock & Vin Diesel during the shooting of Fast 8. It all started from The Rock’s Instagram where he posted about having troubles while the filming of Fast 8.
Life & Style Weekly is now reporting that they were informed by an “insider” that the heat between Rock & Vin Diesel was just a work which might lead to a WWE match (possibly at WrestleMania 33 in April 2017 as Fast 8 also releases in April).

In the latest issue of Life & Style, an insider reveals that while there is some truth to the recent rivalry between Fast & Furious stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel, the beef is largely a publicity stunt to amp up drama for a WWE wrestling match — and to help promote the April 2017 release of Fast 8.
“They are playing a huge prank, and it’s all for publicity,” the insider shares.
The Rock convinced Vin to amp up the drama between them so they could turn it into a WWE match to help promote the April 2017 release of Fast 8.
The Rock’s last WWE match came at WrestleMania 32, where he defeated Eric Rowan in an Impromptu match in just 6 seconds.
