2. Roman Reigns To Challenge For The WWE Title Yet Again At WrestleMania 33?
It looks like “The Guy” Roman Reigns will be chasing the WWE Championship in his third straight WrestleMania main event next year in Orlando. He was the #1 contender for the WWE Title during the main events of WrestleMania 31 & 32, and walked out of this year’s WrestleMania as the Champion.
As we noted before, Vince McMahon doesn’t want to turn Roman Reigns heel as he has invested so much in him for being the top babyface of the company and eventually replacing John Cena, but Reigns is a natural heel and the fans aren’t buying into him acting like a good guy.
Vince wants to do a “redemption” storyline with Reigns when he returns which will see Roman starting from the bottom and working his way to the top. Vince feels if he can manage to do this his way, then Reigns get over with the crowd as a babyface.
This storyline would likely end in Roman capturing the WWE Title for the 4th time at WrestleMania 33.
