1. Top Raw Star Returning To In-Ring Action Next Week? Old School WCW Wrestler Announces His Final NJPW G1 Climax

– “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman is being advertised for this Sunday’s WWE Raw Live Event in Springfield, Illinois. This would mean that Strowman has been cleared to return to in-ring action.

Strowman underwent elbow surgery and Raw General Manager Kurt Angle noted on Raw that Strowman will be out of action for 6 months, but that was just a statement to “work the marks” and Strowman will return a lot earlier than that.

It should be noted that while he might return this Sunday, word going on is that he’ll return to WWE programming in mid-July. Strowman’s last PPV match was at Payback 2017, where he defeated “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns.

– Old School WCW Superstar Yuji Nagata announced recently, that this year’s NJPW G1 Climax tournament will be his last one.

The 49 year old Puroresu Legend appeared in 18 consecutive G1 tournaments since 1999, but only won it once in 2001.

His former WCW co-worker, nWo Japan member Hiroyoshi Tenzan already had his last tournament last year, where he finished last.

Yuji Nagata made the finals in 2007 as the reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, thus became one of 4 people who managed to do so.

Last year Nagata finished second to last with only 6 points, so he probably thought it’s time to retire from those kind of tournaments.
