3. Paige Threatened By WWE Officials
During a recent edition of “MSL & Sullivan”, Mister Saint Laurent talked to Kevin Sullivan about the relationship of Paige & Alberto Del Rio. Laurent talked about how WWE officials didn’t want Paige & Del Rio to continue their relationship and Del Rio being drafted to SmackDown Live while Paige being drafted to Raw was a very well planned move:
“Mark Carrano, who fans might know from Total Divas, kind of like the office liaison guy, approached Del Rio and Paige individually and harassed each of them about their relationship. It was indicated that the office wanted them to sever their romantic relationship. A lot of people speculated if this was the reason WWE split them up in the draft and that’s definitely what happened. The company did not want them together. They split them up in the draft by design and they threatened to fire Paige if she didn’t break up with Del Rio.”
Paige & Del Rio were recently suspended for violating their the WWE Wellness Policy. Del Rio has opted out of his WWE contract and is no longer a part of WWE. Below is a pic of the couple:
