6. Alberto Del Rio Was Scheduled To Become A Paul Heyman Guy

As we noted before, Alberto Del Rio is done with WWE, as he had a clause in his contact which allowed him to opt out of his deal anytime he wants.

It is now being reporting that Vince wanted to make Del Rio WWE’s top Hispanic star (a spot which was held by Rey Mysterio for years) by making him a “Paul Heyman Guy”. This pairing would have seen Del Rio get a main event push.

However, Vince changed his mind and paired him with Zeb Colter. But that pairing was soon broken as it didn’t work out and Del Rio then ended up being in the League of Nations.
