On this day in 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired a special LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF SmackDown!’.
It was broadcasted from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and featured pre-taped matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Unforgiven 2001’ PPV.

2. The Undertaker vs. Steven Richards

• Roman Reigns Reportedly Made A Big Request To Vince McMahon
Roman Reigns returned during the main event of SummerSlam last month, and attacked Braun Strowman and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.
A week later, The Big Dog won the Universal Championship at Payback and became a Paul Heyman guy just two days before the pay-per-view.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Reigns himself asked WWE CEO Vince McMahon that he wanted to return as a heel.
Although WWE has always wanted him as a babyface, Reigns knows fans’ feelings about him, which is why he capitalized on this opportunity and returned with a new attitude.
