SmackDown’s premiere on USA Network kicked off with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H coming out and warming up the fans for the big night.

HHH said he main evented the first ever SmackDown against The Rock 25 years ago, but it feels like yesterday. The show then kicked off with a huge pyro opening and the Steel Cage being lowered for the Undisputed WWE Championship match.

Solo Sikoa came out first, followed by Cody Rhodes. Cody accidentally got busted open within the first few minutes of the match. Solo wiped off the blood while punching Cody’s head.

At one point, Cody hit Solo with a Cody Cutter from almost the top of the cage!

Cody tried to escape from the top of the cage, but Solo countered with a superplex! Cody tried to escape through the door, but Solo pulled him in. Cody hit a Cross Rhodes and went for the cover, but Solo kicked out.

Rhodes got to the top of the cage and risked it all by jumping and hitting a crossbody on Sikoa! Cody went for the cover, but Solo kicked out again.

Cody tried to escape through the door again, but Solo hit the door in Cody’s head. Cody manages to hit another Cross Rhodes and pinned Sikoa to retain his Title.

Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa entered the cage after the match and attacked Cody. Solo hit Cody with a Samoan Spike. Jacob climbed to the top of the cage and was about to hit a splash on Cody, but Roman Reigns’ music hit and out comes The OTC!

Roman entered the cage and began beating up The Bloodline. Roman laid out Tama and Loa, and was about to spear Solo after hitting the Superman Punch, but Jacob (who had climbed out of the cage) pulled Solo out of the cage.

Reigns then challenged Fatu to come fight him in the cage. Jacob entered and was ready to go, but Solo pulled out Jacob. Tama attacked Roman from behind, which led to Cody making the save. Roman and Cody had a face-off, but Roman diverted his attention to Solo on the ramp.
