Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Roman Reigns.

• After losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns returned as a babyface at SummerSlam 2024 and has been feuding with Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline since then.

During an interview on the SI Media podcast, Reigns gave credit to the Bloodline storyline and the new characters that were introduced for Solo’s faction for his organic babyface turn.

Here’s what The OTC said:

“I was very blessed that our storyline was continued and we had such strong characters that we’re keeping everything relevant so there was a build-up for me [to return].

And lo and behold, I became a babyface without doing anything, not even being on screen. I guess that’s a testament to the hard work, the collaboration and the storytelling and all the equity we put into this thing.”

• At one point, we were going to get Roman Reigns vs. The Rock for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40, but that didn’t happen.

During an interview on the SI Media podcast, Reigns was asked if he’s still interested in this long-awaited dream match with his cousin.

The OTC said if the fans want it and The Final Boss is on board, it will happen:

“I think our fanbase and the company has proven that if our fans are loud enough and passionate enough about something, we’re a company who — we’re not being dictated to.

We have a vision for where we’re trying to go, but we know who the consumers are. We know who’s paying their hard-earned money, and we want to satisfy those people, but we have to do it in a regard that’s going to attract more eyes and bring more people in. And Dwayne’s always going to be in that role.

That’s why he’s a part of the board and a part of everything the way he is, because we’re at an unprecedented time right now. Business is great, and we just want to continue to push things up.

So, if that’s what the people want and The People’s Champ is down, I’m sure we can make something happen.”
