• Roman Reigns Will Wrestle One More Match Before WrestleMania 39
After WrestleMania 38, where he became the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion in the main event, WWE began booking Roman Reigns as a “special attraction”, similar to Brock Lesnar.
This means that if you want to see The Tribal Chief in action, then you’ll have to subscribe to Peacock / WWE Network, as he mostly wrestles on premium live events (PPVs).
WWE has noticed in the past that this type of booking often increases the value of certain superstars, thus making them bigger draws.
With that being said, Reigns will wrestle a rare untelevised Live Event match on March 4th at The Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto.
Reigns’ opponent hasn’t been announced yet. Other matches advertised for this event are:
– Gunther (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship
– Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Sonya Deville for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
– Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight in a Lights Out Street Fight
This is going to be Roman’s 1st Live Event match since September 24th 2022, where he defeated AJ Styles to retain the Undisputed Championship at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
In the main event of WrestleMania 39, Reigns is scheduled to defend the Undisputed Championship against the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes.
