We have noted before that “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar is scheduled to get a Universal Championship match at Royal Rumble 2017. There is a rumor that he might return for a match at Survivor Series 2016 (to continue his feud with Shane McMahon), but if that doesn’t happen, he’ll directly return next year during the Royal Rumble 2017 season.

With how plans are going now, Kevin Owens is expected to enter the new year as the WWE Universal Champion. This would mean that Owens & Lesnar would finally collide at Royal Rumble 2017 for the Universal Championship.

With Lesnar being unstoppable since WrestleMania 30, this doesn’t necessarily mean that he would capture the Universal Title (as WWE could always book interference & other finishes, like Undertaker returning during his WWE World Title bout against Seth Rollins at Battleground last year).
