As seen on the Kickoff Show, new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned. Will we open the show with another new champion? Because the Royal Rumble main show is kicking off with the WWE Championship match!
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg makes his way out first and there’s a little change in his ring gear, as he’s wearing shorts tonight.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way out next.
McIntyre attacked Goldberg before the bell even rang. McIntyre delivered a Glasgow Kiss and delivered a Spear to Goldberg!
The fight goes to the ringside area and Goldberg spears Drew through the barricade! Goldberg goes back to the ring and the match still hasn’t started.

It looks like McIntyre hurt his ribs (kayfabe) and the match has now officially started.
McIntyre delivers a knee shot and a Claymore Kick. McIntyre goes for the cover, but Goldberg kicks out!
Drew misses with the Claymore and Goldberg delivers a Spear! Goldberg is looking for another and hits another Spear! Goldberg goes for the cover, but Drew kicks out!
Goldberg hits a Jackhammer and goes for the cover, but McIntyre kicked out!!! Goldberg can’t believe what just happened.

Goldberg is ready to strike again and misses the Spear and goes into the top turnbuckle chest first.
McIntyre delivers a Claymore kick and it’s over!
