• Stone Cold Reveals How He Feels Being 53 Years Old

During a recent edition of the Steve Austin Show podcast, former WWF Champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin talked about turning 53 years old and how he feels. Below is what he said:

“So I just turned 53 years old today (podcast recorded on December 18th) and people always ask me, “God damn Steve, how you feel about all the stuff you put your body through?” and I’ll tell you right now.

Hell, I feel like a million damn dollars for everything I did with my damn body. Going back to my younger days, I started training with my brother who was two years older than me. I was training with the junior high football team when I was in the fifth grade started lifting weights.

Playing football in junior high, high school, four years of college ball, then getting into the roughest, toughest damn business a man could ever get into: The world of Professional Wrestling. Started when I was about 23 years of age going through Chris Adams School in Dallas, Texas making a 1990 “Rookie of the Year” due to a high profile feud with “Gentleman” Chris Adams.

And then paying dues going down to Tennessee, back to Texas, going to WCW, finally getting a call to go to New York going into the WWF as The Ringmaster and then coming up with Stone Cold Steve Austin and hell as soon as it started, it was all over.

I guess I made it about 13, 14 years and running up & down the road, I ran hard. I ran by myself for some of those years after I started making a little bit of money.

But I’ll tell you what, back in those old days me, Diamond Dallas Page, Mick Foley crammed in a car, riding up & down the road…. Bob Holly, Billy Gunn, Bart Gunn, Kevin Nash, I had so many traveling partners back in the day, just running up & down the road having a damn blast. So here I am, this morning I turned 53 years of age and I feel like a million damn dollars.

I had a good time doing what I did. I want to thank for sending me all the happy birthday wishes. Man, I’ve gotten those things from all over the world. They started coming in last night. I probably got a couple thousand of them.

I can’t answer each and every one of them on an individual basis, but I thank you very much. I had a lot of fun in my time in the business and that’s what you know me most from.”

• Rumor Killer On A Big Comeback Taking Place At WrestleMania 34

As we noted before, Shane McMahon is scheduled to be involved in another high profile match at WrestleMania 34.

There are a lot of rumors going on that Daniel Bryan will be wrestling Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 34 after their recent heated segments and that Bryan might have hinted that he’s been cleared to return to in-ring action by WWE by running the ropes during a dark match last week.

However, that’s not the case as of now. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that Bryan still hasn’t been cleared and the match isn’t happening.
