19. On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (July 6, 1997) – In Your House 16: Canadian Stampede

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 6, 1997, the WWF aired ‘In Your House 16: Canadian Stampede’ on PPV from The Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The main event would be a special ten-man (!!!) tag team match, that had The Hart Foundation wrestle a team of 5 of the biggest Babyfaces in the company at that time.

The Hart Foundation were easily THE single biggest heels in the World Wrestling Federation in 1997, but that was only the case here in the United States, while they were still cheered as Babyfaces everywhere else on the planet: Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, you name it, but even more so in their home country of Canada.

Almost the entire Hart Family was in the crowd that night.

Here are the official PPV results:

Free for All
The Godwinns defeated The New Blackjacks

Mankind fought Hunter Hearst Helmsley to a double countout

The Great Sasuke defeated Taka Michinoku

WWF World Heavyweight Championship
The Undertaker defeated Vader

Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog & Brian Pillman defeated Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust & The Legion of Doom
