• New FastLane 2018 Main Event To Be Finalized Tonight On SmackDown Live
On tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, Dolph Ziggler will battle Baron Corbin in a singles match. The winner of this match will get added to the WWE Championship at FastLane 2018 and the match will then become a Fatal 4 Way match (AJ Styles, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn are the current competitors in the match).

“Tonight, Dolph Ziggler returns to SmackDown LIVE for the first time in seven weeks. By the end of the night, The Showoff could be walking right into a WWE Championship opportunity.
SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon revealed on Twitter Thursday morning that the winner of the battle between Ziggler and Baron Corbin will be added to the WWE Championship Match at WWE Fastlane. That means that AJ Styles will have to defend his title against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and the winner of this showdown.
Who will advance to the March 11 special on WWE Network and challenge for the WWE Championship: The Showoff or The Lone Wolf?”

• Rumor Killer On Goldberg’s WrestleMania 34 Role
At WrestleMania 34, the 5th annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place. There’s backstage talks of pushing the match this year due to HBO Sports’ documentary on Andre the Giant premiering just 2 days after WrestleMania 34.
WWE officials think they would be able to work on more projects with Bill Simmons (man behind the Andre documentary) & HBO Network if this Andre documentary draws strong viewership.
With that being said, The Sun reported that WWE officials are planning to use WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018 inductee Bill Goldberg for this match and have him win it to push the match and accomplish their goal mentioned above.
However, according to the Dirty Sheets, there’s no truth to that story and they noted that a New Era WWE Star would be booked to win this match (and gain some momentum from the win), not an Old School Legend like Goldberg.
