• Old School NWA Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School Wrestling Veteran Dennis Condrey turns 66 today.
In 1980, Dennis founded the original version of the legendary Pro Wrestling Tag Team The Midnight Express with his Team partner Randy Rose, but later on in 1984 Rose was replaced with Bobby Eaton and they added Jim Cornette as their manager.
The Midnight Express is still considered one of the most famous Tag Teams in Wrestling history and nobody will be surprised, once they will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day, although knowing WWE, they will probably induct the more famous later version of the team, where Condrey was already replaced with Stan Lane.
• Rumor Killer On The Undertaker Being In Talks To Join WCW In 1999/2000
During a recent interview with Pop Culture, former WCW President Eric Bischoff had the following to say regarding the rumor of The Undertaker being in talks to join WCW back in 1999/2000:
“See, that’s another one of those internet wrestling rumors that continues to survive, what is it now, 18, 19 years later? Nothing could be further from the truth.
There was never one syllable of conversation between anybody that mattered. Maybe some of the lower level guys on the production, maybe some freelancers said, ‘Wow, wouldn’t it be cool if the Undertaker came over?
Or maybe there was some new assignees over at the Power Plant where some other people that really weren’t very significant who had some indirect association with the company that speculated about how cool it would be. There was never any meaningful conversation with anybody that mattered at any level.”
