• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 27, 1993) – André The Giant Passed Away
On this day in 1993, we lost Old School WWF Legend “The Eighth Wonder of the World” André The Giant (Real name: André René Roussimoff) at the age of 46 due to congestive heart failure, which was most likely a result of his gigantism / acromegaly.
André’s biggest moment came in 1987 when he “passed the torch” to Hulk Hogan in the legendary main event of WWF WrestleMania III. Hogan bodyslamming him is still referred to as “the slam heard around the world”.

• Rumor Killer On WWF Veteran Returning At Royal Rumble 2018
There were reports recently that WWE contacted former 2 time Women’s Champion & former Hardcore Champion Molly Holly for an appearance in the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble 2018 match.
However, that’s not the case. During an interview with Wrestlinginc’s Raj Giri, Molly Holly had the following to say about reports of her being a part of Royal Rumble 2018:
“My friends’ kids were texting me and they’re like, ‘I saw on the internet that you’re gonna be in the Royal Rumble.’ I was like, ‘I am?! Oh my gosh! Where does it say this?’ So I start looking like, is this like some thing that they just forgot to tell me?
So then, I actually called, because I was like, ‘Am I gonna be?’ So then I called the WWE, and I was like, ‘Is this like a thing?’ And they were like, ‘Oh, fans are predicting who’s gonna be in the Rumble.’ I was like, ‘oh, I’m sorry. I’m like embarrassed.’ I’m just a mark who believes everything that’s on the Internet.
But, for a second, I was like ‘Ah crap! I don’t have enough time. I need months to prepare!’ But then it’s not even true, so it was nice enough that the fans cared enough to start a rumor. So, that’s cool.”
