• Rusev Returns On Tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Defeats Former WWE Intercontinental Champion

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the fallout from Sunday’s Double Or Nothing 2022 pay-per-view, where CM Punk won the AEW World Championship.

AEW President Tony Khan announced that former WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison, now known as Johnny Elite, will wrestle on tonight’s Dynamite.

Below is the announcement Tony made:

“After earning his first @AEW win last weekend #JohnnyElite returns to #AEWDynamite tonight aiming to work his way to the top!

For AEW’s LA debut, hometown hero Johnny has signed an open contract to fight anyone in @AEW!

Who will he face on Dynamite on TBS @ 8pm ET/7pm CT tonight?”

Morrison’s opponent was revealed to be the returning former TNT Champion Miro (fka Rusev in WWE), who went on to pick up the win.

Miro said his neck of sand has been repaired, but now his heart is broken and he is coming to take God’s home.
