Sabu Refuses To Retire From Pro-Wrestling, Cena’s Opinion Of Attitude Era

Former 2 time ECW World Heavyweight Champion Sabu recently suffered two broken bones in his shoulder.

Sabu went to a doctor and got informed that he needs to retire from Professional Wrestling. Instead of listening to the doctors, he left for Europe to work some indy wrestling dates. Sabu has been wrestling for 30 years now.

WWE Superstar John Cena was recently interviewed by The New York, and here what John Cena said about the Attitude Era and WWE trying to clean up its image after that Era: “In the height of the Attitude Era, it could be compared to a touring frat party. We made a conscious effort to clean up.” Cena then talked about the Make-A-Wish appearances he did and why he puts so much into it: “When I hear that this child wants to hang out with [me] for the day, I think that’s the most flattering thing that I could ever be a part of.”

He then talked about being in Judd Apatow’s “Trainwreck” movie: “I’ve been looking to do comedy forever. What I do every Monday night is action. [I’m] essentially a superhero trying to swoop in and save the day.

What you see on-screen is 95 percent improv. It’s kind of the way we do business in the WWE. You have a loosely defined story. As long as you play within the goal posts, the dialogue is whatever [you] make it.”
