Below are some top WWE news stories of the day:

– On a recent episode of his Kliq This podcast, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash discussed fellow WWF Legend The Rock’s return to WWE after 4 years, two weeks ago on SmackDown.

Below are the highlights:

Austin Theory’s performance against The Rock:

“He looked great. It look like he put on 15 pounds from the Colorado game (laughs). They went through the list, and Theory is young, right? Like 26, something like that? The list of guys he’s worked with already, woo. I really thought that he held his own in there.”

Why The Rock returned to WWE after 4 years:

“Well number one, to keep his brand strong. Who knows how long [the SAG-AFTRA strike] will go on. Dwayne is double pinched in this, because not only is Dwayne a member of the Screen Actors Guild as an actor, but he’s also a producer, so [he has] a pension health plan.

I don’t think he’s doing it for the payday, but he’s definitely doing it from a PR standpoint. I don’t think it’s ever a bad thing to come back to where you started and show the world you’re the biggest star in [Hollywood].”

– Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is scheduled to return on the October 13th episode of SmackDown, which will be the post-Fastlane edition of the show. Reigns was previously added to the October 27th episode of SmackDown. These shows are on the road to Crown Jewel, where he’s scheduled to face AJ Styles. He was last seen on TV on the August 11th post-SummerSlam episode of SmackDown.

– It’s been almost 2,000 days since John Cena’s last singles televised victory, which was against Triple H at Greatest Royal Rumble 2018. If he doesn’t win a televised singles match by WrestleMania 40, then he’d complete 6 years without a televised singles victory.
