• Sami Zayn’s wife was first show on WWE TV during his match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber 2023.
His wife was also shown at ringside at WrestleMania 40, where Sami defeated Gunther to win the Intercontinental Championship, and later on an episode of RAW.
During an interview on the Gorilla Position podcast, Sami explained why he didn’t want his wife to appear on WWE TV at first:
“I’ve been extremely private my whole career and my whole life actually, but I shielded her specifically from it because she didn’t sign up for it, and I just don’t think she’s built for criticism.
The kind of criticism that these monsters online sometimes hurl at us, especially the women or whatever. And I just didn’t want to expose her to that and then somehow or another she ended up kind of involved in the story when we did the match in Montreal.”

• According to Fightful Select, Tony Khan had plans to bring in former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin for a program in All Elite Wrestling.
However, the plan to bring in Benjamin was dropped when the AEW wrestler he was scheduled to feud with got injured.
Since his WWE release last year, Benjamin has only wrestled two matches on the indy scene. He is now scheduled to work in PROGRESS Wrestling next month.
