Below are a couple of top AEW news stories of the day:

– AEW’s Santana had been out of action with an ACL injury since last year. He returned on the go-home edition of Dynamite to All In to reunite with Ortiz and join the Blackpool Combat Club for their Stadium Stampede match against Eddie Kingston’s team at All In.

Santana and Ortiz had a falling out a while ago, and things didn’t seem to be better as they did not interact at all on Dynamite or All In.

According to Fightful Select, Santana and Ortiz are still not on good terms. Santana is also on bad terms with Eddie Kingston.

Eddie Kingston, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, Penta El Zero Miedo and Best Friends defeated Blackpool Combat, Santana and Ortiz at All In.

It’s unknown if Santana and Ortiz will continue working together on AEW programming going forward.

– The Elite recently signed new contracts with AEW. Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and “Hangman” Adam Page decided to stick together and stay in AEW instead of going to WWE.

Speaking to Torg & Elliott, current AEW personality Mark Henry said that with Kenny Omega staying in AEW, a match between him and CM Punk is just a matter of time.

“I want to see it too. It’s just a matter of time. You let things iron themselves out, and you see where things lead to. Could you imagine an AEW tournament for the World Title and on one side of the bracket, to go to the finals, you have Kenny Omega and CM Punk meet up against each other? It would be incredible.”

Henry then called them two of the top stars of this generation and went on to reveal that Omega signed a 4-year contract with AEW.

“The top 100 wrestlers of all time, they’re halfway on it. CM Punk and Kenny Omega are in the top 40 of all time. People don’t realize, you go to the NFL, look up the top 100 football players, see who is in the top 40. It will blow your mind. Same thing with any other sport.

I’d like to see the top 100 baseball players and see who is the top 40. It’s nothing to sneeze at. I believe in both of those guys being great competitors and I feel they have a lot left, multiple years. Kenny Omega just signed a new deal. He’s going to be around another 4 years.”

It’s likely that The Young Bucks and “Hangman” Adam Page also have the same length for their deals and will be with Omega in AEW until 2027.
