• Sasha Banks Appearing At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 Basically Confirmed By Top Official
Former WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks is rumored to appear at the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 pay-per-view on January 4th 2023.
Fightful Select reported that Sasha’s exit from WWE was negotiated months ago. January 1st 2023 is when she’ll become a Free Agent. They also reported that her NJPW deal is a ‘go’.
WWE couldn’t reach a deal with Sasha because she was asking for a lot of money.
With NJPW, she’s on a per-appearance deal. According to the Wrestling Observer, she is now the highest paid wrestler in the company, making more than what Chris Jericho made during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling in the last few years.
During an interview with Yahoo Japan, Bushiroad (NJPW’s parent company) CEO Takaaki Kidani was asked if Sasha will appear at Wrestle Kingdom.
Below is what Kidani said:
“There is a possibility that she will come to the (Tokyo) Dome.”
Sasha tweeted the following a few days back:
“One of my biggest dreams came true today 😭🤯”
