As seen on last night’s SmackDown, Michael Cole announced that WWE has indefinitely suspended Sasha Banks & Naomi.
Also, they were stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. A tournament will be held to crown the new champions.
In an update after their suspension, WWE has pulled all of the Sasha & Naomi related merchandise from their shop.

WWE has also pulled them from their intro for RAW & SmackDown as well.
Sasha Banks has been replaced by Cody Rhodes, while Naomi has been replaced by SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.
During an interview on Busted Open Radio, former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James revealed that she was shocked when she saw that kayfabe-breaking statement that WWE posted on Social Media regarding this situation.
She also noted that she’s on Sasha & Naomi’s side. Below is what Mickie said:
“Yeah, I actually applaud them standing in their convictions and how they felt.
If they felt disrespected, or they felt unheard, or they felt any of those things. I mean, at the end of the day, we still are independent contractors.
Like, that can be argued that they did show up to work that day. They saw whatever they were supposed to do and they had committed at least to half the day.
So again, you are honestly only hearing only what they put out. Honestly, when I saw the statement, I was a bit in shock that WWE would even put out the statement.
I couldn’t believe that Vince signed off on the statement.”
