Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Scott Steiner and Karrion Kross.
• Scott Steiner has opened up about his ongoing battle with drop foot, a condition he has endured for over two decades.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Steiner reflected on how the ailment significantly impacted his wrestling career, particularly during his WWE tenure, making even basic movement challenging.
“I look back at my WWE career, and I can hardly even watch it,” he admitted; “I went out there with a drop foot, you know? I didn’t even walk to the ring the same; I had a brace, taped it up—it was basically a cast—and it helped me a little bit.”
Steiner explained that his performances improved during his time in TNA as the condition stabilized somewhat. However, the limitations of drop foot remained.
Big Poppa Pump noted that the only regret he has from his WWE career is that he couldn’t compete at a 100% due to this issue.
“My foot would just flop, man. It was weird. It’s still like that—not flopping, but I still trip. For the last, what, 20-some years, I’ve stumbled at least twice a day. I won’t fall, but I’ll trip because my foot doesn’t come all the way up. I wish I wouldn’t have had the drop foot when I was in WWE, but it is what it is.”
Despite surgery to transfer a tendon from the side of his ankle to the front, Steiner noted the condition persists.
“It’s still drop foot. It’s still dead. I can’t feel anything, but it’s not flopping like it used to. I have a little more control because I had surgery where they took a tendon from the side of my ankle and put it in the front to stabilize it better. But, you know, I still can’t move my foot back up.”
Through it all, Steiner has found ways to manage the condition, demonstrating resilience despite its daily challenges.
WATCH: Scarlett’s (Karrion Kross’ Girlfriend) Revealing Buns In Action:
• Karrion Kross shared the story of how he and his wife Scarlett met and began their journey together.
Speaking on the Chazz Palminteri Show, Kross revealed that the two initially crossed paths while working for the same wrestling promotion. Though they were initially supposed to work together, plans changed, and their first encounter happened backstage.
Kross described their meeting as an instant and powerful connection, likening it to “the Thunderbolt,” a term Sicilians use for an undeniable spark of chemistry. Despite this connection, both Kross and Scarlett spent months avoiding each other. Kross recalled:
“At the time, we were working for a company, and, at first, we were supposed to work together. Then we weren’t. I had met her backstage, and it was one of those things—like, when she and I met, there was immediately this… this eye contact. Like, something happened. It’s that thing — it’s called the Thunderbolt.
Yes, Sicilians call it the Thunderbolt. That’s what it was. So, we met backstage, and we were actually trying to avoid each other for, like, three or four months.
Actively. I’d see her coming down the hallway, and I’d go the other way. We were trying to stay away from each other. But, obviously, we couldn’t. So, we started dating for a long time, and, well, eventually, I proposed to her.”
They got married in 2022.
