On this day in 1993, the World Wrestling Federation aired an interview of “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, conducted by fellow Old School WWF Veteran Raymond Rougeau.
Michaels talked about facing his former ‘Rockers’ Tag Team partner Marty Jannetty at the upcoming WWF Royal Rumble 1993 PPV.
• New United States Champion Will Now Be Crowned Before Royal Rumble 2018 PPV
The final match of the United States Championship tournament will no longer take place at the Royal Rumble 2018 PPV. It will now take place on next week’s episode of SmackDown Live, which is the go-home edition of the show for Royal Rumble 2018.
The following Semi Final tournament matches will take place on tonight’s SmackDown Live:
– Bobby Roode vs. Mojo Rawley
– Jinder Mahal vs. Xavier Woods
• Seth Rollins Comments On The Return Of Curb Stomp / Blackout, WWE Edits Footage Of Referee Botch In Raw’s Main Event
As we noted before, Seth Rollins went back to using his original finishing move in WWE – Curb Stomp / Blackout. Rollins used it in the main event of this week’s Raw and hit Finn Balor with the Blackout to defeat him.

This main event of Raw featured a botch by the referee where the referee counted to 3 when Balor was pinning Rollins, but that wasn’t supposed to happen. The referee then signalled it wasn’t a 3 count and the match continued.
