CM Punk and Randy Orton returned at tonight’s WWE Survivor Series 2023 PLE.

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins wasn’t happy to see Punk return. He was seen shouting at Punk and had to be held back. You can watch the following footage that wasn’t shown during the PLE:

After the show went off the air, WWE aired the post-show press conference. WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H answered various questions, including questions about CM Punk’s return. Below are the highlights from Triple H’s time:

– He’s very proud of Randy Orton, to come back from the injury he came back from is impressive.

– Women’s WarGames match solidified Shotzi’s status on the roster and that she can hang with the top talent.

– Santos Escobar and Dragon Lee proved that they are more than just lucha guys.

– Rhea Ripley is an absolute star.

– CM Punk’s return came together very quickly and it’s been a long time coming. Positive or negative, people talk about CM Punk. He’s a conversation starter and it’s tough to look past that. If the fans want it then let’s go, we’ll figure out the rest of it. This came together super quick, which is why it was kept very quiet. Everybody changes and it’s been 10 years. Both of them are different human beings now and it’s a different company now. They are all thrilled to have him back in WWE, where he belongs.

– When asked if TKO pushed for CM Punk’s return, Triple H said there has been zero push and very few people knew about it. HHH said the top people at TKO probably got shocked while watching tonight’s show.

– Triple H plans to make WWE bigger than it has ever been before.

Below are the complete results:

– Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi & Becky Lynch def. Damage CTRL (Bayley, IYO SKY, Asuka & Kairi Sane) in the Women’s WarGames Match

During this match, Charlotte Flair performed a Moonsault from the top of the cage and her knee hit IYO SKY in the head.

The finish came when Becky pinned Bayley by putting her through a Table from the second rope with a Manhandle Slam.

– WWE Veteran R-Truth returned to TV after a year in a backstage commercial segment.

– Sami Zayn told Jey Uso backstage that Randy Orton hasn’t arrived yet. This began CM Punk chants. Jey said he knew this would happen because Randy still has issues with him.

– Gunther (c) def. The Miz via Submission to retain the Intercontinental Championship

– Santos Escobar def. Dragon Lee

This was Dragon Lee’s WWE PLE debut match. Carlito was originally scheduled to face Santos, but Santos injured him on SmackDown (storyline wise).

– Rhea Ripley (c) def. Zoey Stark to retain the Women’s World Championship

– Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso & Sami Zayn def. Drew McIntyre & The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh) in the Men’s WarGames match

Orton let Cody pin Priest to win the match. You can watch Orton’s return below:
