5. Paige Done With WWE?
During a recent edition of “MSL & Sullivan”, Mister Saint Laurent talked to Kevin Sullivan about the relationship of Paige & Alberto Del Rio. Laurent talked about how WWE officials didn’t want Paige & Del Rio to continue their relationship and Del Rio being drafted to SmackDown Live while Paige being drafted to Raw was a very well planned move:
“Mark Carrano, who fans might know from Total Divas, kind of like the office liaison guy, approached Del Rio and Paige individually and harassed each of them about their relationship. It was indicated that the office wanted them to sever their romantic relationship. A lot of people speculated if this was the reason WWE split them up in the draft and that’s definitely what happened. The company did not want them together. They split them up in the draft by design and they threatened to fire Paige if she didn’t break up with Del Rio.”
Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that things are looking very negative about Paige’s returning to WWE programming. He also noted that there is a chance that Paige might already be done with the company due to thr above insider talk between Paige and Carrano coming out.
With Alberto Del Rio (who is Paige’s boyfriend) parting ways with WWE, there’s a pretty good chance that Paige follows him out of WWE as well. Paige is currently serving a 30 day WWE wellness policy suspension and is dealing with injuries as well.
