Seth Rollins Reminds Everyone That Roman Reigns Couldn’t Beat Him

During the ongoing 1,000+ day title reign of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, there’s only one singles title match that he wasn’t able to win.

At Royal Rumble 2022, Roman defended the Universal Championship (he wasn’t the Undisputed Champion at that point) against Seth Rollins.

During the ending moments of that match, Reigns had Rollins in the Guillotine Chokehold, but Rollins managed to reach the bottom rope.

Despite this, Reigns refused to let go of the hold, which led to the Referee disqualifying The Tribal Chief.

Roman lost that match via DQ, but retained the Title as Titles can’t change hands with DQ losses (unless the stipulation states otherwise).

After the match, Reigns destroyed Rollins and assaulting him with a Steel Chair.

After Roman defeated Jey Uso to retain the Undisputed Title at SummerSlam 2023, “WWE on TNT Sports” Twitter account posted a graphic of all of Roman’s title defenses since 2020.

Rollins, who retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor at SummerSlam, saw this graphic and reminded everyone that the Head of the Table wasn’t able to beat him.

Below is what The Visionary tweeted:

“One of these is not like the others.”

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have had 9 televised matches against each other so far (RAW, SmackDown & PPV). Rollins won 5 of those, while Reigns won 4.
