• Several Employees Released From WWE, Including 2 Longtime Employees

WWE has been making budget cuts throughout the year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Despite 2020 being one of the most profitable years in the company’s history, WWE has been releasing employees since April.

According to PWInsider, the latest round of budget cuts took place this past Friday, which saw behind the scenes and logistics employees in Stamford, Connecticut getting released from WWE. The number of people let go is believed to be 10-15.

The most notable name to be let go was former WWF/E ring announcer Tony Chimel, who’s best known for his announcements during Edge’s entrance throughout the years.

Another reputable name released was Derek Casselman, Director of Venue Merchandise, Remote Operations. He served WWE for 27 years.
