On this day in Pro Wrestling history on October 24, 1999, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW Halloween Havoc 1999’ LIVE on PPV from the MGM Grand Garden Arena Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

This was the 11th out of 12 annual ‘WCW Halloween Havoc’ pay-per-views that aired between 1989 and 2000.

The tagline of the event was “When Our Inner Animals Come Out To Play”.

• Paige’s Role For WWE Evolution

WWE announced the following details regarding this Sunday’s WWE Evolution PPV:

“On the Evolution Kickoff Show at 6 ET/3 PT, the panel will feature Raw announcer Renee Young, SmackDown General Manager Paige and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.

On the red carpet, Charly Caruso and Kayla Braxton will be looking to catch the grandeur of the event from the outside, with exclusive interviews being conducted by Dasha Fuentes, Cathy Kelley and Sarah Schreiber.

Then, when WWE Evolution gets underway, Renee, The Glamazon and Michael Cole will be on hand to call the action.

Ring announcers for the event will include Lilian Garcia, JoJo and Kayla Braxton.”

SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon talked about the WWE World Cup last night and how the winner of the tournament will be crowned the ‘Best In The World’.

This began a “CM Punk” chant from the crowd as he previously used the tag of “Best In The World” in his WWE run.
