Some of the examples include:

The latest retired PPV that WWE is bringing back under the NXT banner is Battleground, which they used from 2013 to 2017.

NXT Battleground will take place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sunday, May 28, the same day as the AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 PPV, which will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in the Las Vegas suburb of Paradise, Nevada.

Below is what WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels said about this premium live event:

“We look forward to returning NXT to the road and delivering an incredible night of action to the passionate fans of Massachusetts and those watching at home.”
