Shawn Michaels & The Undertaker Reunite At WWE NXT (Video)

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania 35

Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day:

– Before last night’s NXT went on the air, The Undertaker met his longtime friend, NXT booker Shawn Michaels in his office.

You can watch the reunion between these former 2-time WrestleMania opponents below:

– WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite went head-to-head last night.

NXT drew 921,000 viewers with a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is up from last week’s 857,000 viewers with a 0.22 rating. This was NXT’s highest viewership since the September 25th 2019 episode.

Dynamite drew 603,000 viewers with a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is down from last week’s 800,000 viewers with a 0.28 rating.

A fan posted an AI generated image of NXT booker Shawn Michaels with the “Booker of the Year” award, after a lot of fans enjoyed last night’s NXT.

AEW President Tony Khan saw this tweet and replied:

“Actually I’m pretty sure that last night blew whatever chance he had at winning that award.”

– Bianca Belair hurt her knee (storyline wise) during the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Championship against Asuka and Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2023.

Belair still managed to win the match and become the new WWE Women’s Champion, only to be successfully cashed-in on by IYO SKY a few moments later.

On the August 18th episode of SmackDown, Belair was assaulted by Damage CTRL backstage, where they further injured her knee. This injury angle was done to write Belair off TV.

According to Xero News, Belair will return to WWE programming in time for Survivor Series 2023:

“Bianca Belair will be returning to WWE SmackDown in time for Survivor Series. As of Monday, she wasn’t factored into Crown Jewel plans, so unless we get a shock return this Friday on SmackDown, it’s looking like we will see her on a PLE in Chicago.”
