Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Shelton Benjamin, Randy Orton, and Paul Heyman.
• Shelton Benjamin Didn’t Want His Real Mother In WWE Due To Randy Orton
During an interview with Maven on YouTube, Shelton Benjamin recalled his 2006 WWE storyline involving his on-screen mother ‘Mama Benjamin,’ played by Thea Vidal.
Benjamin revealed that Vince McMahon asked him if he wanted to use his real mother for this storyline, and Benjamin said no, because the WWE roster had guys like Randy Orton in it.
Here’s what the former Intercontinental Champion said:
“Vince actually asked me, ‘Do you want to use your real mama for this?’ My response, ‘Hell no.’ I don’t want to be on the road with my mom, but more importantly, you know how our locker room was at the time, how certain individuals were, and I’ll even throw Randy’s name in there because he was one of the ones I would worry about.
Old Randy was a problem. Him and other people as well. But if I brought my real mom onto here, and anyone said anything out of line to my mama, my real mother? I’d be fired, and someone would be well. That’s scorched Earth. You don’t mess with my mama.
My mom loved [the storyline]. People were going around town like they were calling her, ‘Mama Benjamin,’ she was loving it. They actually met. We did a show in South Carolina, and my TV mom met my real mom.”

• Daniella Chavez Reacts To Rumors Of Being Engaged To Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman may be known as “The Wiseman” in WWE, but this week he went viral for something far outside the wrestling world.
Heyman sparked a wave of online buzz after appearing in a TikTok video with Chilean model and influencer Daniella Chavez. The brief clip, which featured the two side-by-side in a stylized frame, quickly exploded online—garnering more than 3 million views. While Heyman is no stranger to attention in the WWE Universe, this moment pushed him into an entirely different kind of limelight.
However, the internet’s reaction quickly spiraled into speculation, with rumors spreading across platforms like Instagram and Twitter suggesting that Heyman and Chavez were engaged. The story gained traction quickly, but it was based on nothing more than fan assumptions—until Daniella Chavez stepped in to shut it down.
Sharing the same video on her Instagram, Chavez cleared up the misinformation and set the record straight:
“Since 2018 @paulheyman He is my agent in the USA He hasn’t betrayed me ‘yet’ hahaha. But he is the wise one and knows what he is doing.”
