4. Bray Wyatt Injured on SmackDown Live, Was Eva Marie’s Injury Legitimate?
As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Bray Wyatt attacked Dolph Ziggler in the opening segment of the show and challenged him to match with the stipulation being “If Wyatt wins, he becomes the #1 contender for the WWE Championship”.
In the main event of the show, Ziggler defeated Wyatt. Wyatt sprained his ankle during the match and was very angry because of this. WWE officials wanted to end the match before the finish but Wyatt refused and worked the whole match. Wyatt also refused any help from trainers. There’s no update available on how serious is the injury but if he misses this weekend’s Live Events, then the injury might be severe.
There’s no information available on what Wyatt will do at SummerSlam 2016.
Also on SmackDown Live, Eva Marie was scheduled to go one on one against Becky Lynch. But she told the referee that she hurt her leg while coming down from the middle rope after posing for the fans. The trainer checked on her and the match was called off.
The injury isn’t legitimate and is a storyline. We’ll get to know in the coming weeks why this injury angle with Eva was done.
