4. SmackDown Live’s Own Cruiserweight Division Coming Soon? Another Title For The Blue Brand?
Reports suggest that Vince McMahon wants Raw & SmackDown Live to have equal number of Titles. This problem was recently solved when Shane McMahon & Daniel Bryan introduced SmackDown Live’s Women’s & Tag Team Titles.
However, with Raw’s Cruiserweight Division starting in 2 weeks, there are plans for a Cruiserweight Championship to be introduced for the division. This will result in Raw having one more Championship than SmackDown Live. To solve this problem, there are plans for SmackDown Live to introduce their own Cruiserweight Division & their own Cruiserweight Championship. But the arrival of a second Cruiserweight division will depend on the success of Raw’s Cruiserweight division in the coming months.
As we noted in the previous news update, 10 wrestlers have been announced for Raw’ Cruiserweight division and no more names are expected to be added to the division for the time being.
If WWE finally decides to introduce SmackDown Live’s own Cruiserweight division, then other wrestlers from the Cruiserweight Classic are expected to be used.
