WWE UK Title To Be Defended In A Dark Match At NXT TakeOver: War Games

Below is what WWE posted regarding the next WWE United Kingdom Title defense:

“WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne to defend against Johnny Gargano in Houston on Saturday, Nov. 18

If you want to bear witness to WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne’s next colossal title defense live, there’s only one way to do so: By scoring a ticket to NXT’s debut at the Toyota Center in Houston on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Fresh off making his unforgettable debut on WWE Monday Night Raw, The BruiserWeight will put his WWE U.K. Title on the line against former NXT Tag Team Champion Johnny Gargano.

The match will not air as part of that night’s TakeOver: WarGames live special on WWE Network, meaning those lucky NXT fans in attendance in the Toyota Center will have an exclusive opportunity to watch the title bout unfold before their eyes.

One of the most popular Superstars in all NXT, Gargano has struggled to find his footing in the singles division since the painful breakup of #DIY last May. Could Johnny Wrestling change his fortunes in Houston by dethroning the devilish Dunne and becoming the first American to capture the U.K. Championship?

Find out for yourself by securing your seat today. Tickets for NXT in Houston are available now at NXTTickets.com!”

SmackDown Live Star Comments On People Calling SmackDown The “B Show”

During a recent interview with The Sun, SmackDown Live star and Ms. Money In The Bank Carmella talked about her journey from NXT to the WWE main roster, being Ms. Money in the Bank, people calling SmackDown Live the “B Show” & more.

Below are the highlights:

On going from NXT to the WWE main roster:

“After starting off in NXT and then getting here to SmackDown Live, all I ever wanted to do was to create history and be a part of the women’s revolution. Natalya, Naomi, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, everyone is making history and I wanted to be a part of it and now my name will always be forever etched in history – and that’s all I’ve ever wanted.”

On traveling with her Money In the Bank briefcase:

“I have to carry it everywhere I go. When we fly I only get to have one carry on and one personal item. Sometimes I just have one little bag and my briefcase. A few weeks ago I was at baggage claim and a man asked me if I was in the banking business. I was like ‘Really? You think I’m going I’m going to be carrying around a briefcase with money in the bank written on it with money in it?'”

On people calling SmackDown Live the “B Show”:

“I don’t know where people get that SmackDown is the B show – I couldn’t disagree more. Ever since the draft happened I know all the women in our locker room came together and vowed to make us the A show and show we are the best women’s division. It’s nice to have that rivalry because it makes you work that much harder and you always want to be better than the other side.”

SmackDown Live Name Leaving WWE?

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that James Ellsworth might be done with WWE after what happened on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

Ellsworth lost to Becky Lynch in an intergender match on this week’s SmackDown Live and Carmella turned on him after the match by delivering a Superkick on him. You can watch it below:

SmackDown Live women destroyed Ellsworth at a recent Live Event as well. You can watch it below:

Meltzer noted that Ellsworth signed with WWE an year ago and his contract might be up soon. So this could’ve been the way to write him off WWE TV.
