– SmackDown Live Star Almost Fired From WWE?
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there was an incident with SmackDown Live Superstar Baron Corbin which would’ve lead to him getting fired from WWE, but that didn’t happen because Vince McMahon likes him.
Below is what Meltzer wrote about it:
“Only thing I can say is that there was an incident, it wasn’t anything reported, nothing in the ring, not related to Twitter or talent, and they changed booking plans. He’ll be fine. Vince loves him. If not, he’d have been fired.”
As we all know, Corbin unsuccessfully cashed-in his Money In The Bank contract just a few days before SummerSlam 2017 and then lost to John Cena at the biggest event of the Summer. Corbin is now expected to enter into a program with AJ Styles for the United States Championship.
There’s speculation going on that this incident might be related to WWE doctor Joseph Maroon, who was speaking to the wrestlers about concussions and Corbin disagreed with him regarding CTE and confronted him in front of everyone.
