• Was The Rock Responsible For Nia Jax’s Absence From WWE TV Last Year?

During a recent interview with Pop Culture, RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax commented on the reports claiming that Nia had taken a leave of absence last year because her cousin,, The Rock advised her to leave because she wasn’t happy with her pay and the way she was being booked.

Below is what Nia Jax said:

“That was the craziest thing I’ve ever heard! The fact that people would think that Dwayne would ever tell me to not do something for the WWE, a place that’s actually given him his start and the reason he is on top of the world, it’s completely false and hilarious.

It has nothing to do with that at all. It wasn’t something that was that big of a deal. I had actually had an injury that happened to me personally on a flight—an overhead bag fell directly on top of my head while I was on a plane. I was out of it, I was completely out of it. I’m not kidding you.

It was just something where I had to go and make sure I was okay and rest up. It was right before a tour. All it was, was just like, ‘Hey, you’re not the storyline right now. Go take a break. Make sure you’re okay, and then come back for tour.’ That was it. That was the bottom line. That was the story.”

• SmackDown Live Star Doesn’t Have Any Heat – WWE Officials Very High On Him

ProWrestlingSheet recently reported that SmackDown Live Superstar Big Cass has backstage heat for going off script during his segment with midget Daniel Bryan prior to Backlash 2018 PPV.

As seen during that segment, Big Cass beat up the midget who was dressed as Daniel Bryan. WWE officials wanted Big Cass to only deliver a Big Boot to the midget and that was it as far as getting physical during that segment goes.

However, Big Cass wanted to get more physical in that segment, but Vince McMahon denied his request.

Big Cass didn’t listen to Vince McMahon and went to deliver a series of punches to the midget after delivering the Big Boot to him.

According to DirtySheets.net, this story from ProWrestlingSheet is false.

Dirty Sheets is reporting that Big Cass was originally scheduled to defeat Daniel Bryan and then qualify for the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match, but Bryan requested that he put over Rusev as he likes Rusev’s work.

Big Cass doesn’t have any backstage heat. As a matter of fact, WWE officials are very high on Big Cass, especially after Cass returned from injury 2 months before his expected return date and he came back in a better physical shape and improved mic skills.

With Dirty Sheets being way more accurate than any other source at the moment (especially with ProWrestlingSheet’s past of delivering false reports regarding Brock Lesnar’s backstage altercation at WrestleMania 34), we can conclude that the future looks bright for Big Cass (at least as of this writing).
