SmackDown Live Star Getting Re-Packaged, Drew McIntyre’s Reaction To Jinder Mahal Winning The WWE Title

SmackDown Live Star Getting Re-Packaged

Former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler hasn’t been featured on SmackDown Live as of late. The last singles feud he was a part of on WWE programming was with Shinsuke Nakamura. WWE officials don’t have any creative plans for Ziggler as of now and that’s why he has been working only Live Events as of late. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Ziggler is expected to be re-packaged and be brought back to WWE programming soon.

Drew McIntyre’s Reaction To Jinder Mahal Winning The WWE Title

During a recent appearance on the X-Pac 12360 podcast, NXT wrestler Drew McIntyre discussed Jinder Mahal’s run as WWE Champion, his time in NXT & more. Here’s what McIntyre had to say about his fellow 3MB member Jinder winning the WWE Title at Backlash 2017: “I was there that night in Chicago. The pre-show for NXT the night before, I stayed for the PPV the next day. I didn’t want to know the results, and I told both of them Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton don’t tell me, I’ll watch from the crowd. And when he won, most of the NXT roster were heading to the bus, and I sprinted off like the Ultimate Warrior, straight to ‘gorilla.’ I was right there waiting for him and I busting a 3MB air guitar.”

Below is what McIntyre had to say about being the “John Cena of NXT”:

“Just think of me as your John Cena of NXT. If there is something going on and someone doesn’t want to do it, then I’m your guy. I’m doing this, I’m happy. It’s nothing fake, I generally do enjoy this.”
