1. SmackDown Live Star Scheduled To Get A Big Push Soon, Original Backlash 2017 Plan

Word going on is that “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin is scheduled to get a big push later this Summer on the SmackDown Live brand. Things haven’t been going on good for Corbin as of late.

He was originally scheduled to capture the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 33, but that plan was nixed as there were a lot of Title changes already booked for WrestleMania 33 and they had to cut down. Also, the original plan for Backlash 2017 PPV was for Corbin to face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, but that plan was nixed as well when WWE decided to push Jinder Mahal instead (in order to promote the newly opened WWE Shop in India and their whole product in the country).

With the push that he’s going to get this Summer, his look and theme song are expected to be changed.
