– Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown kicked off with Paul Heyman coming out with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and talking about Roman Reigns’ two upcoming matches.

Heyman told the fans that Sami Zayn isn’t here tonight and Dusty Rhodes raised an idiot for a son in Cody Rhodes.

Paul said the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is the crowning jewel of The Bloodline and The Bloodline doesn’t exist without it.

Sami suddenly showed up behind Heyman and began staring at the WrestleMania 39 sign.

Zayn told Heyman to relax, as he wouldn’t hurt him. He said if this was one month ago, Solo Sikoa would’ve already laid him out with a Samoan Spike. If this was a month ago, Jimmy Uso would’ve taken him out by now with a series of superkicks.

If this was a month ago, even Jey Uso would’ve beat him up. But this isn’t a month ago, and Sami wonders why no one is here with Heyman.

Sami said The Bloodline is slowly crumbling and Roman’s days as champion are numbered.

Zayn then ended his promo by saying the following:

“Tell Roman he doesn’t have to worry about Cody because I’m going to be the one to take him down!”

– Heyman went backstage and asked Jimmy Uso why he wasn’t out there to back him up. Jimmy said he’s trying to reach to Jey, but he still can’t get a hold of him. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa aren’t here tonight.

– Drew McIntyre & Sheamus def. Hit Row

After the match, The Viking Raiders appeared on the titantron and laid out a challenge for next week.

– Lacey Evans def. Carmen Harress

– Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green complained to Adam Pearce about how they are treated. Pearce booked them in a tag team match against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez.

– Jimmy Uso came out to defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championship against Braun Strowman & Ricochet alone, but Jey Uso came out through the crowd at the last minute.

– The Usos (c) def. Ricochet & Braun Strowman to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

– Jimmy was trying to have a conversation with Jey backstage, where he was trying to ask Jey what’s up with him, but Jey didn’t tell him much. Paul Heyman was trying to listen to their conversation.

– LA Knight was asked about his loss to Bray Wyatt in the Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match at Royal Rumble. LA said they’re not going to talk about that because that is in the past. It’s time to look at the future and the future is LA Knight, yeah!

– Natalya came to the ring and mocked Shayna Baszler and called her a knock off Ronda Rousey. Shayna said she was competing in the ring before Ronda, was signed to WWE before Ronda, and was winning Titles before Ronda.

Ronda Rousey then made her return and joined forces with Shayna to attack Natalya. Shotzi tried to make the save, but she got taken out as well.

– Sami Zayn then met Jey backstage. Sami thanked Jey for not joining in on the attack on him at Royal Rumble. He said he knows Roman Reigns and Jey doesn’t have to go down with the ship, there’s a way out of this. Sami then said he acknowledges Jey and they did a fist pump.

– Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez def. Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville

– Madcap Moss cut a promo backstage with his girlfriend Emma. He said he’s going to become the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship, because when you look good you feel good. He then thanked Emma for his ring gear tonight.

– SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair had a sit-down interview with Michael Cole, where Cole asked her about her WrestleMania 39 opponent: Rhea Ripley.

Flair said Ripley isn’t on her level. She ended by saying:

“3 Years ago, I taught her a lesson. Now, on April 1st, in front of 80,000 fans, I’m going to put Rhea Ripley in her place.”

– Madcap Moss def. Rey Mysterio, Karrion Kross and Santos Escobar in a Fatal 4-Way Match to become the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship

– Paul Heyman told Jimmy Uso backstage that he talked to The Tribal Chief, and Roman wants The Usos to stay home and watch next week’s SmackDown on TV, because there are some things you see on TV that you don’t see otherwise (referring to Sami’s meeting with Jey earlier tonight).
