Below are the results from tonight’s SmackDown.
– Cody Rhodes kicked off SmackDown asking what the fans want to talk about before bringing up Randy Orton. He expressed his gratitude for Orton as both a friend and mentor, crediting him with helping him become the Undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes also shared his guilt about Orton being attacked by The Bloodline last week, especially considering Orton’s serious spinal injury. Rhodes emphasized that family isn’t always about blood, calling Orton his brother. He mentioned that Orton would not want him to dwell on guilt and shame but to focus on the future, specifically his SummerSlam match against Solo Sikoa. He recalled telling Sikoa before WrestleMania 39 that he wasn’t ready, a statement that proved true when Sikoa cost him the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes taunted Sikoa, asking how it feels to see him as the champion while Sikoa holds no title. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) interrupted. Theory complained about a swollen cheek from Jacob Fatu, and Rhodes questioned if it’s from Fatu or Waller. Waller accused Rhodes of pushing a narrative and blamed him for Orton’s attack last week. Rhodes fought Theory and Waller, but they overpower him until boxer Terence Crawford, in the audience, handed him a chair. Rhodes used the chair to hit Waller and perform a Disaster Kick on Theory. After the break, Rhodes requests a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Theory and Waller from Nick Aldis. Aldis agreed to a tag team match instead and told Rhodes to find a tag team partner.
– WWE Speed Champion Andrade def. Carmelo Hayes
– During a sit down interview via satellite, Nia Jax said fans should feel sorry for Bayley because she will tear her apart at SummerSlam and take away the WWE Women’s Championship. Bayley said Nia is the same heartless woman with the same big mouth who walks around like she owns the place since day one and that Nia is big, clumsy, and reckless. Bayley said that there is nothing Nia can do to stop her, and that she will walk out of SummerSlam still the champion.
– Bianca Belair def. Chelsea Green
After the match, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn appeared on the titantron and promised to give them a glimpse of their power next week.
– Nick Aldis held a Contract Signing between United States Champion Logan Paul and LA Knight. Logan said LA needs this match more than he does and questioned why he should accept a challenge from a “Gym Bro” pretending to be The Rock. LA called Logan a fraud who pretends to be a champion, and claimed that Logan’s brother Jake Paul has more balls to jump in the ring with someone. Logan said he will sign the contract and after he wins, LA will continue to have nothing.
– Santos Escobar wants a match against LA Knight. LA told Santos that if he wants to get in touch with him, ask his mom since she has his number.

– Kevin Owens came out as Cody Rhodes’ surprise tag team partner in the main event.

After the match, The Bloodline attacked Cody and Kevin. Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga held Cody and had him watch as Jacob Fatu beat down Owens. The Bloodline wrapped a Steel Chair around Owens’ neck and throw him into the ring post, and then Triple Powerbombed Cody through the announce table.
